Position Overview:As a Group Facilitator at Cherry Hill Recovery Center, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and transformative environment for our clients. You will lead and guide group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for individuals to share, learn, and grow alongside their peers. Your empathetic and skillful facilitation will empower clients to build essential coping mechanisms, strengthen their support networks, and embark on a path to sustainable recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging and therapeutic group therapy sessions, promoting open dialogue, active participation, and a sense of community.
  • Create a supportive atmosphere where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences, challenges, and successes.
  • Develop and implement structured group activities and discussions based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to align group sessions with individual treatment plans and goals.
  • Provide psychoeducation on addiction, recovery strategies, relapse prevention, and life skills development.
  • Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and confidentiality within the group setting.
  • Actively listen to clients, offer empathetic responses, and provide constructive feedback to encourage personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of client progress, attendance, and group dynamics.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in addiction treatment and therapeutic techniques to enhance your facilitation skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience facilitating group therapy sessions, preferably in addiction treatment or mental health settings.
  • Strong understanding of addiction and recovery dynamics, with the ability to adapt interventions to diverse client needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients and establish rapport quickly.
  • Empathetic, non-judgmental, and dedicated to providing a safe and compassionate environment.
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication purposes.
  • State licensure or certification (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LADC) is a plus.
